Los Angeles Metro implemented changes to train and bus service

Starting this Sunday, Metro de Los Angeles will implement some service improvements on its rail and bus lines .

Among the adjustments to the service, some bus routes were reprogrammed to facilitate access to users to important destinations, in addition to increasing the frequency of train stops.

The Blue, Green, Expo and Gold lines will have a reduction in the frequency of the service, of 10 to 8 minutes, during the busiest hours during the week.

As for buses, The routes that will have extra trips during the weekdays of December are : 10, 14, 14, 55, 60, 66, 70, 94, 108, 125, 125, 165, 166, 230, 256, 602, 720 Y 910.

On Saturdays and Sundays, there will be additional trips on the lines 256 and 720, while the line 94 there will be additional trips on Sundays.

In early December, Los Angeles Metro allocated bus priority lanes on a 1-mile stretch of Grand Avenue, and a 1.4-mile stretch in Olive Street , in Downtown, to speed up service for service users.

New lanes were defined in coordination with the City Department of Transportation on Grand Avenue, southbound from Hope Place to Pico Boulevard; and north on Olive Street, from Pico Boulevard to Second Street.

They will have as priority lanes for buses on weekdays from 7 am at 7 pm, with the passage of a bus each 60 seconds.

Los Angeles Metro surveyed more than 300 bus users and found that 7 of each users reported delays or reliability issues.

The 96% of passengers surveyed said they would travel more by bus if Metro could improve their travel times and 9 of each 10 assured that they would use the route every day.
