He first contacted them through dating websites; Then he made them go to motels where he killed them and finally transported their bodies in shopping carts.
The Fairfax County Police Chief, Kevin Davis, said at a press conference that he is investigating the conduct of a man from 35 years who is nicknamed “ the shopping cart killer ”.
This is a man who last month was charged with the murder of two women , but is believed to be a serial killer . He is considered the main suspect in the deaths of two other girls , but is still under investigation if his victims could be more.
“We are in the process of conducting, together with other partners, a retrospective investigation to find out where he has been, and we are going to work with our law enforcement partners: homicide detectives, missing persons detectives, to see if we can identify other victims , families and communities to which it has caused harm ”, adds the police chief.
Anthony Robinson was charged with the deaths of two women who were found very close to each other: Elizabeth Redmon , of 54 years and Harrisonburg; and Tonita Lorice Smith , from 39 years old, from Charlottesville.
He was arrested after finding links to both in video review and cell phone registration. He is being held in a Harrisonburg jail , on two counts of murder and two felonies to conceal, transport or alter a corpse.
