In recent weeks, Telemundo has had to make changes to its nightly programming because some productions have not worked at all. First it was “Parientes a la Fuerza” that had a fatal rating drop after the first season of “Hercai” left it a space with a good audience.
It was there when Telemundo decided to return to primetime “Hercai” to stop audience loss at 9 pm/8c. When the Turkish telenovela returned to the Hispanic channel, the reality show “Por Amor o Por Dinero” premiered at the same time.
However, in less than a month, the program hosted by Carlos Ponce lowered the average rating of his predecessor “La Casa de los Famosos”. Again, Telemundo used “Hercai” to help with the audience and extended its duration to two hours and took one hour from the love reality show.
“Hercai” has improved the average of the hours of 8 pm/7c and 9 pm/8c and has kept it above one million daily viewers. And although the Turkish series is doing better than what it replaced, the audience remains well below the competition that Univision proposes night after night.
