Latino suspected of waiting and murdering co-worker in Tesla factory parking lot
The suspect in the fatal shooting outside a Tesla factory in California on Monday was charged with murder after police discovered he had apparently worked with the victim just hours before the incident. .
Anthony Solima, from 29 years, and a native of Milpitas, was charged with one count of murder and another count of possession of an assault weapon , after his arraignment Thursday.
Solima, who is in the county jail of Santa Rita without bail, received the charges, which include stalking, intentional firing of a firearm that caused death and possession of the same.

Fremont police revealed that the victim Monday’s fatal shooting would have ended his shift hours earlier, if the two had not had an argument, prompting Solima to leave early.
According to a police statement, “the victim had just finished a shift at the Tesla factory before being shot in the parking lot as he was leaving.”
During the course of their investigation, authorities found that the victim and Solima “had been arguing earlier in the day, and that the suspect had suddenly left work.”
The Fremont Fire Department responded to a Tesla report of a person in the parking lot around 3: 26 pm.

Fremont police released a statement about the shooting on Monday.
“The 13 from December to 2021 at approximately 3: 26 pm, Fremont Fire Department personnel responded to a report from a subject in the Tesla parking lot.
“Firefighters provided medical assistance and declared the subject deceased. Fremont Police Homicide Investigators are on site and have taken over the investigation. ”
Late on Monday night, the police located Solima and issued an arrest and search warrant for him and his car.
Later, detectives watched Solima’s car before arresting him in Milpitas, where surrendered immediately.
Police found a “loaded, non-serialized, caliber rifle. 223, short-barreled on the suspect’s vehicle, along with a worn carcass. ”
Police Fremont says it has officially ruled the death a homicide and they are continuing the investigation as such.
It is unclear at this time if any employees of Tesla was injured or involved in the incident.
The factory Tesla’s Fremont plant is the company’s only vehicle assembly plant in the United States today.
