The Weeknd to premiere musical collaboration with late singer Aaliyah

On Friday 17 will premiere “Poison” , a duet track between The Weeknd and Aaliyah , R&B singer deceased 20 years ago; now, the magic of technology has brought together the voices of these successful artists.

The song will be the first single from the posthumous album Poison , planned and coordinated by the uncle of the singer, Barry Hankerson . Renowned artists such as Snoop Dogg , Chris Brown , Ne-Yo , Future and Drake will also perform duets, combining rap and dance music.

Aaliyah died in a plane crash on 25 August 2001; Hankerson has announced that a large part of the artist’s musical work will be available on the platforms of streaming , because for many years it could only be obtained in physical format.
