NGO enlists millionaire campaign for Biden to reverse Trump's immigration policies
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) will launch a million dollar ad campaign on Thursday for the government of the President of United States, Joe Biden , reverse Donald Trump’s anti-illegal immigration policies, which resulted in the separation of numerous families.
The campaign will consist of paid advertisements on television networks in the state of Washington and on social media, and will continue for several weeks next year.
Actors Mandy Moore and Jason George lent their face and voice to express how hard it would be to imagine a situation in which they are separated from their children, and for this reason they ask the Biden Government to act urgently to reunify the families of these immigrants .
The testimony also appears of a Hispanic family, finally reunited after months of separation, who recounted in Spanish and through tears that at the time of being separated they “never” told them when they would see each other again, in the words of a teenager.
The ACLU recalls in a statement that “thousands of children were separated (from their families), causing outrage around the world, and many families remain separated and devastated after that. ”
“ Without decisive and swift action, the trauma and damage caused by the Trump Administration will soon become the hallmark of Biden’s shame, “recalls ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero, calling these separations a” national tragedy. “
The ACLU, one of the historic organizations of American progressivism, is also preparing an upcoming campaign to defend the right to abortion, in which it will emphasize the problems caused by unwanted motherhood.
