Dwayne Johnson pays tribute to a “survivor” at the People's Choice Awards
The actor Dwayne Johnson was crowned yesterday Tuesday, once again , as the famous most loved by the American public, receiving for this reason the statuette of “Champion” in the framework of the ceremony of delivery of the People’s Choice Awards , one of the most anticipated events of the season.
And to demonstrate once again why he is deserving of such a distinction, the Hollywood star did not hesitate to quickly divert attention from his triumph to present his award to a “young warrior” who had been invited to the event by non-profit association Make-A-Wish .
Much of her acceptance speech, apparently improvised, was aimed at praising the girl for her constant struggle and for being a “survivor” who is not scared in the face of adversity. Dwayne revealed that he had met his new friend behind the scenes and that he had been able to learn her story of overcoming in a short but intense conversation. “You are a survivor, you have literally fought for your life. You represent better than anyone what it means to be a champion ”, the actor directed him, while presenting him with the popular award, all while the young woman attended what was happening between surprised and excited.
