Kasia Lenhardt, ex Jerome Boateng, “did not survive the brutal world of football” says friend

The ex-girlfriend of footballer Jerome Boateng, Kasia Lenhardt , was found dead in her apartment on Wednesday. The model was bombarded with hatred on social media and did not survive the “brutal world of soccer,” one of her friends said last night.

Mats Hummels’ wife wrote a heartbreaking post on Instagram in which he mourned the death of Kasia, aged 25, who was found dead in her Berlin apartment a week after she separated from the German player.

The breakup led to a war of words when Boateng, aged 32, accused the Polish-born model of “blackmail” and she claimed that he had lied and cheated on him.

Last night, influencer Cathy Hummels , wife of German central defender Mats Hummels, suggested that Kasia had been “broken ”For the online abuse of strangers when she revealed that she almost committed suicide.

“ I am shocked and really sad. How desperate must she have been? I also thought in the past that I no longer want to live. Not because of the bullying, but because of my depression. And I can tell you one thing: you can only commit suicide if you are deep down.

“I want to point out that this HATE, BODYSHAMING & CYBERMOBBING has to end. Break people. I’m very sorry, dear Kasia. In fact, I wish I had written to you because we are both in the world of football and I know how brutal it can be.

“How many prejudices, envies and resentments you face. The truth is often very different. I can handle it because I have learned a lot from my past. But many did not succeed. Kasia didn’t make it. ”

Kasia was found dead after her son’s birthday after her worried family was reportedly unable to contact her.

Not established cause of death, but police said she is not being treated as a suspect.
