What should have been an unforgettable and happy ride, turned into a nightmare for the crew of a hot air balloon in Teotihuacan, State of Mexico, who were part of a hard landing that ended with impact against a tree.
According to the first reports, the accident was registered when the hot air balloon of the Volaré company, flew over the Legua de Teotihuacan-Tecámac highway and from one moment to another, it began to descend precipitously.
According to testimonies, the operator could not control the device after detecting a supposed failure in an airbag when it was several meters high, so he lost control when trying to land and fell violently.
Although the company initially denied the crash of the hot air balloon, later acknowledged the accident without giving details of what caused it.
Among the injured, one of them, 28 years old, was reported with loss of movement in both legs, another of 64 years with probable fracture of the left clavicle, one more than 31 years with a left wrist fracture , the others with blows all over the body and sprains, according to the preliminary report of the local authorities.
In a video broadcast on social networks observe the airship already on the ground, where several people help the passengers, while others, apparently workers of the Volaré company, try to untangle the cables from the tree.
This accident occurs two weeks after the other hot air balloon hit the facade of a house at the International Balloon Festival ( FIG) in León , Guanajuato. On that occasion, despite the horror scene, no crew member was injured or injured.
