Chef Andrew Zimmern teaches how to cook vegetables for kids to love

Andrew Zimmern, one of the food world’s most knowledgeable personalities and a four-time James Beard Award winner, shares one of his ways to cook vegetables that the whole family will love , including children.

The celebrity chef and TV personality’s recipe includes mushrooms, but notes that you can replicate it with many other veggies like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green beans, whatever.

Mushrooms with butter and soy sauce

Ingredien teas:

– 4 cups mixed mushrooms

– 1 stick of salted butter

– 2 tablespoons of sauce soy

– 1 teaspoon fish sauce

-1 teaspoon brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons of chopped chives

Preparation:

Heats the skillet over medium-high heat and add 4 tablespoons of butter.

Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar and chives. Let the liquids reduce a bit and then finish by adding the other half of the butter off the heat. The butter will emulsify with the soy sauce, fish, sugar and mushroom juice creating a delicious sauce.
