Apple pie is the most iconic and traditional dessert in the United States and along with pumpkin pie, it’s a Thanksgiving dinner table staple.
This year you can still make a version most delicious of your apple pie, adding peanut butter. Peanut butter is not only a good combination with chocolate, it is also a good combination with apples.
The way to make an apple pie with peanut butter is a breeze, even if you’re a beginner. Requires a few minutes to prepare and is ready in less than an hour.

Apple Pie with Peanut Butter
Ingredients :
– 6 cups peeled and sliced green apples
– ¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar
– ½ cup peanut butter
– 1 tablespoon of flour
– 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– ¼ teaspoon of salt
-A box (14 ounces) pie crust refrigerated
– 1 tablespoon of milk
Preparation:
1. Heat oven to 425 ° F.
2. Mix the apples, ¾ cup sugar, peanut butter, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon and salt.
3. Place pie crust in ungreased 9-inch pie pan.
4. Pour apple mixture into crust-lined pan and spread to evenly coat.
5. Cut the remaining crust into strips and cover the filling with them. If you wish, you can use the remaining dough to form shapes to decorate the edges.
6. Spread with milk and sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar.
7. Bake the cake between 30 and 40 minutes; cover the edge with foil after 20 minutes to prevent the crust from browning too much as the interior cooks well. The cake is ready when the apples are tender and the crust has browned.
8. Let cool 2 hours and your cake is ready to be served. You can accompany with ice cream.

According to Priceonomics, throughout the decade of 1700, Pennsylvania Dutch women pioneered the methods of preserving apples, through the peeling, coreless and drying of the fruit, and made it possible to prepare apple pie at any time of the year.
Apple pie became a traditional American dessert, so much so that you have a day to celebrate it , the 13 May is National Apple Pie Day.
