About 20 people robbed the Nordstrom store from The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles

An approximate group of 20 people ransacked the Nordstrom store in The Grove shopping center in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles on Monday night .

After committing the robbery, the individuals escaped in several cars, an assault style called a flash mob that was featured over the weekend in Los Angeles and other California counties .

The police managed to capture three suspects.

The individuals used a mallet to break one of the windows in the shop windows , they looted the neg leisure and subsequently fled in four vehicles.

Los Angeles police chased one of the cars involved in the theft and trying to escape on the Highway 110. The suspects exited on Hoover Street, in the south of the city, before abandoning the car and continuing their escape running.

Three people were captured and arrested, reported the police , who recovered part of the stolen merchandise.

Earlier this Tuesday a barrier with barbed wire was installed along the western edge of the mall The Grove , while agents were conducting investigations.

No one was injured by this theft and the economic amount of the items stolen from the Nordstrom store is unknown .

Los Angeles authorities are investigating whether the robbery at The Grove is related to another similar robbery that occurred in the south of the city approximately an hour earlier.

A CVS store, at the intersection of West Slauson Avenue and South Vermont Avenue, was robbed by six individuals who stole about $ 8, 500 dollars in cash.

Detectives are investigating whether any of the men who robbed the pharmacy were also involved in the Nordstrom robbery.

On Saturday night, Louis Vuitton and Saks Fifth Avenue stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills were attacked by a group people , which led to the hiring of two private security companies on Monday to reinforce surveillance in the area.

Over the weekend, in the Bay Area similar robberies occurred in San Francisco and Walnut Creek .

Given the increase in this type of robbery, classified as flash mob, Governor Gavin Newsom said that elements of the California Highway Patrol ornia will support the surveillance of retail establishments.
