As hundreds of people queue to receive limited coronavirus vaccines, in Los Angeles County some have already obtained it without corresponding , according to a journalistic report published this Wednesday.

According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, in several vaccination centers in this Californian county, some people who are not health workers have managed to receive the vaccine by Moderna without having to show a credential.

At a vaccination site in South Los Angeles for example a Hundreds of people received the immunization without presenting any proof of working in the health services.

The newspaper’s investigation cites the centers of Pacoima, Lincoln Heights, South LA and San Fernando Recreation Park as places where initially they asked pr uebas, a data that was distributed by emails and led to people who did not have the right to get vaccinated.

The director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Bárbara Ferrer, guaranteed the Tuesday before the Board of Supervisors that all essential workers will receive the vaccine but that the established priorities must be followed.

A report presented this week by television station KABC reported that in some Southern California hospitals “relatives of employees and physicians ” had received doses of vaccines.

The explanation given by some of the hospitals, according to the media, was that they were vaccines that were very close to expiring or that They had been left out of refrigeration so essential workers had refused to receive them.

According to the latest official update, Los Angeles County filed on January 5 840, 611 positive cases of coronavirus and 12, 071 deaths related to the infection.
