To cry: Yamaha says goodbye to its greatest champion with a letter from his motorcycle (Video)

The Japanese manufacturer Yamaha, brand with which the Italian Valentino Rossi won four of his seven MotoGP world titles, he wanted to honor him with a very special video and a letter from “his” motorcycle, the Yamaha YZR -M 1 .

The full transcription of the letter, signed “ With Love your YZR-M1 ″ , says in full:

“Everyone has said goodbye to you, Valentino. There was only one missing from someone you appreciate very much

Here it is:

I can remember Saturday 24 of January of 2004 like it was yesterday.

Our first date in Malaysia.

I had been waiting for someone like you for a long time.

I was nervous, but it was love at first sight for both of us.

I knew instantly that our relationship would be something really special.

We had that undeniable sparkle once in a lifetime, and all the pieces of the puzzle just They fit.

I will never forget how we stopped on Welkom’s lawn at 2004.

The two of us, realizing that you and I were right together, and that this was just the beginning.

We won four MotoGP titles and 56 races together.

We carry joy to millions of people around the world and create memories for a lifetime.

We made history, because we work as one and bring out the best in each one.

You made me strong again.

You made them respect me again.

You made them love me again.

Only you, Valentino , you had the power to do it.

And I fully trusted you.

I supported you with all my heart.

I fought all your battles with you.

Only I was able to make motorsport exciting for you until the end.

From our first kiss on the Welkom grass to our last dance in Valencia this year, we have had many extraordinary adventures.

And then there were our special trips to Laguna Seca in 2008 and Catalonia in 2009.

Nobody moved like us at that time, right?

Also in Assen in 2009, when I helped you win your race number 100.

It was magical!

I have carried you for 16 years of your incredible career.

But you have also carried me in your heart.

From Mugello to Motegi, from Silverstone to Sepang and from Barcelona to Buriram, we have always been there for each other.

I have given you everything, as you did to me.

The only thing I will always treasure is our conversations on the grill.

It was you and me against the world.

You and I was “ride or die.”

But unfortunately, even the most beautiful love stories come to an end.

Valentino, you are part of me.

Part of my story.

Part of who I am today and what I will be long after we part ways.

Ours is a really special connection, and I’m going to miss you more than ever you will know.

Grazie, Valentino.

With love, your YZR-M1.
