The repechage has been defined: this is how the last quotas for the 2021 Opening League of Liga MX will be played

After almost 12 years of absence the directors of Liga MX decided that it was the opportune moment for the repechage classification system to return to complete the last four classified in the Liguilla and in the Apertura 2021 will be used again, as happened in the Guardians 2021.

The four that have already secured their direct ticket to the playoffs are: Club América (35 points), Atlas (29 points), Club León (35 points) and Tigres UANL (28 points). These four teams were guided in the technical direction by Santiago Solari, Diego Cocca, Ariel Holan and Miguel ‘Piojo’ Herrera.

Now the last four places will be contested by the clubs that finished from the fifth to twelfth place.

Santos Laguna (5th) vs. Atlético San Luis (12 c) | Sunday 21 November | Corona Stadium

Toluca (6th) vs. Pumas UNAM (10 ro) | Sunday 21 November | Nemesio Díez

The current champion of Mexico, Cruz Azul, It will be time to face the Rayados de Monterrey at home and with the stadium without an audience due to the suspension by the homophobic screaming . Only three teams were champions after sneaking into the Liguillas through the repechage: Pachuca (Winter 1999), Morelia (Winter 2000) and Chivas (Opening 2006).
