States that change time in the United States in November

More than 60 countries, including the United States, perform twice a year a time change; in March the so-called summer time begins and now in November the winter time will begin.

In The US has to make the winter time change this Sunday, November 7 , so it is recommends setting the clock just one night before you go to sleep.

Due to the drop in temperature, as well as the arrival of the first frosts and snowfalls, winter time brings us fewer hours of the Sun during the day, so it is not surprising that it begins to get dark in the middle of the afternoon.

Which states do and which do not make the winter time change in the US ?

All states that belong to what is known as the continental United States must turn the clock back one hour this Sunday.

They are two of Hawaii and Arizona (except the Navajo Nation), along with the territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and American Samoa do not go through the process of time changes as they maintain a standard time throughout the year.

The Department of Transportation oversees the schedule change according to a federal mandate under the Uniform Hours Act of 1966. The agency justifies this measure in many reasons that include the reduction of energy consumption, greater economic productivity and security issues.
