Maradona's physical trainer supported Michel Leaño

Fernando Signorini, who at the time was Diego Armando Maradona’s physical trainer, and who now serves on the Chivas coaching staff, led by Michel Leaño, revealed several anecdotes that he lived with Now a herd manager and he was also in charge of supporting it.

The physical trainer commented to Infobae that he met Leaño years ago, in 2007 to be exact, when he was still at Tecos with Menotti and the now Chivas coach was the team’s nephew at the time.

He was very respectful, charismatic. But above all, like Socrates, he asked a million questions and they always had to do with football. That got Caesar. One day I asked him his age. And when he replied that he was 20, I said, ‘He’s lying to me.’ At that age I was chewing gum ”, Signorini commented on the first impression and conversation he had with Leaño.

For his part, Signorini spoke of the potential that Leaño has and highlighted his personality and ability to continue learning.

“At 25 years, when most young people lead a simple life, he had a position in Chivas and contacted Johan Cruyff. I had a very close relationship with him and I was a witness to that. It is potentially roofless. He does not hesitate to continue learning. ”

Regarding his stage as interim director of Chivas, Sign orini supported the Leaño’s work, he confessed that he owes everything to Menotti and commented that he agrees with the policy of not receiving foreigners since that is ensured by the system’s mandate.

When he spoke with Menotti , always told him: ‘The club to lead in Mexico is Chivas.’ Because we are closely linked with romanticism. It seems phenomenal to me that Chivas is prohibited from accessing foreigners because that puts it safe from the mandate of the system, which wants to privilege the business. ”
