A 7-year-old Brazilian girl died after doctors sent her home from the hospital wrongly diagnosed with a knee sprain.
Little Lorrane Victória from Pontes suffered a fall at school and injured his knee last Friday 28 October.
The girl’s mother was called to pick up Lorrane from school at the one who attended Capão Bonito in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Mom and daughter visited the local hospital where doctors took an X-ray of Lorrane’s knee.
Her uncle Rubens Silvério da Silva Junior said that the girl had been suffering. She was vomiting and had a fever.
Despite this, the doctors sent her to her home with medications , but her leg began to swell and the pain increased, so her mother took her back to the Capão Bonito hospital the next day.
The hospital staff put a splint on her leg and sent her home again.
Unfortunately, her condition worsened and had to be returned to the hospital for the third time , where she was finally seen by a pediatrician.
Her family said her mouth had turned purple and she needed oxygen to breathe.

An enlarged liver is usually caused by liver disorders related to excessive alcohol consumption, can cer of liver, fat in the liver and congestive heart failure.
Lorrane was transferred to a hospital in the city of Sorocaba, but unfortunately died in the road on 31 October.
“They neglected her because there were no pediatricians,” said her uncle.
He said it was only on the third hospital visit that his niece was given the time she needed
The cause of death has not yet been established and in an official statement from the Capão Bonito City Council, a spokesperson said that the government was supporting the girl’s family.
“We are awaiting the results of an expert report that is being prepared to determine the cause of the girl’s death so that we can take the necessary measures that are required.” The residents of the area have organized a protest for this Saturday, asking for improvements in medical care, reported the Diario Caucaia.
