According to the report, from January to September of this year add up to a total of 149 women victims of kidnapping in the country , this is 75 less than 224 achieved throughout the 2020.

In absolute numbers, the State of Mexico occupies the first place with 27 female kidnapping victims so far from 2021 , followed by Veracruz with 16, Mexico City with 11, San Luis Potosí with 10, Chihuahua with 10, Michoacán with 10. In rate per each 100 thousand inhabitants, the first place is occupied by San Luis Potosí, with 0. 74 cases ; Zacatecas, 0. 70; Chihuahua, 0. 53.

Likewise, female victims of human trafficking had a slight increase last month , from 37 in August to 42 in September.

In the same way, crimes of gender violence in all its forms other than family violence, went from 321 to 346 in the last two months .

Gender violence is also reflected in femicides

During the six-year term of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in Mexico there were 2, 812 femicides until September 2021.

During 2019 and 2020, the number of femicides in Mexico was 974 and 975 respectively.
