The Brazilian footballer Neymar caused a great controversy a few days ago when he stated that he saw Qatar 22 as his last World Cup . However, he took his time to clarify the statement and make it clear that does not intend to leave the Brazilian National Team in the near future .

The forward said that Qatar could be the last World Cup instance to compete for not knowing what could happen to his career in the future, just for that.

This World Cup is close, I think of it as if it were my last because I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, anything can happen. When I said that, it became great news, with people saying that I was going to stop playing football, that I would leave the national team, ”he said during an interview.

Neymar has managed to score 70 goals with “Canarinha” , leaving behind legends like Ronaldo, who scored 68 and Romario with 55. In fact, he is only 7 goals away from equaling King Pelé.

The Brazilian also expressed the importance for him of being crowned with a Champions League alongside the Argentine star Lionel Messi .

“I came with the aim of lifting the Champions League for PSG. I’ve been looking for it since 2017. We are still adapting to each other , but when we fully connect, we will be a very strong team ”, he highlighted.

During the last month Neymar has been a bench of strong criticism that has caused emotional problems in the player and affected his performance on the court. For the same reason has been supported by his fellow footballers .
