For Rafael Amaya it was 'a delight to return' to Telemundo with 'Malverde: El Santo Patron'

Rafael Amaya returns home to Telemundo making a special participation in the series “ Malverde: The Patron Saint “. The actor from “El Señor de los Cielos” plays the character of Teo Valenzuela, a bandit and bounty hunter, ladino, flirtatious and at the same time dangerous who admires Malverde.

Before his participation that begins on Monday 18 in October at 10 pm / 9c on Telemundo, we were able to talk with the actor about his character. Amaya revealed to us that her welcome to the team was very warm and she felt at home upon entering the recordings.

“It was a delight to see my teammates as the director again Miguel Varoni, to Ivonne Montero, who I worked with her on ‘El Señor de los Cielos’… I hadn’t worked with Pedro Fernández but it was also a delight to work with him. Although they had already been working for several months, I knew that I was walking into a project and almost about to finish I thought that I was going to run into people who were perhaps already tired but nothing, no negative vibes. All positive and I had a welcome quality from everyone and I felt very comfortable “, the actor told us.

For many years, Amaya was Aurelio Casillas in “The Lord of the Skies”, returning in a fiction where he would play a different character gave the opportunity to see him in another facet.

“Now I’m different,” Amaya said about the difference between her characters. “ It is a delight to return. I felt a little rusty at first but it took me 1 hour to de-rust and grease the engine again and give it a go. But I felt very good with the perspective that I now have on life “.

Amaya says that Teo Valenzuela’s character is similar to Aurelio Casillas and could be his great-grandfather since he is a living and drug trafficker.

After his brief participation in “Malverde”, Amaya said that he wanted to tell more about the story of Teo Valenzuela.

Regarding Amaya’s future on Telemundo, he promises that there will be more surprises and he feels very grateful to the public who have great affection for him and have continued to wait for him during all this time away from the screens.

“Our intention is to give the best of the best to the public and once again the entire Telemundo team took her out of the stadium with this story. It is a story delivered with very good quality in all aspects. What I had to live and see that huge backlot that they built, see the changing rooms, and the people so detailed and dedicated to the project gave me a lot of peace of mind “, he concluded.
