The Cuscatlán Stadium has been a real hell for the visiting teams. United States and Mexico suffered firsthand the bad behavior of the Salvadoran public in the matches of “La Selecta”. However, the actions of the fans have consequences and this was made known by FIFA.

During the match of El Salvador against the United States , some fans began throwing bags with water and objects at the USMNT players. In the duel against Mexico, Guillermo “Memo” Ochoa was also a victim of these behaviors . In this sense the FIFA Disciplinary Committee decided to intervene and punish the Salvadoran Football Federation.

On first instance, the federation will have to cancel a fine corresponding to $ 32, 000 approximately dollars. In addition, a sector of the Cuscatlán Stadium is banned from the entry of fans for the next match against Jamaica (North and South Shadow behind the goals).

The danger was also experienced by the Mexican fans

Then of El Tri defeating El Salvador, some fans of “La Selecta” intimidated some Mexicans who went to see their national team. However, the group of Aztec spectators did not fall for the provocations and quietly marched from the Cuscatlán Stadium.
