In recent weeks Julio César Chávez has revealed his most human side in a series of interviews. In one of them, the “Great Mexican Champion” related the problems he has had with drugs and what has affected his children, Omar and Chávez Jr . suffer from the same addictions. In this sense, the “César del Boxeo” revealed that they are in rehabilitation.

They are in recovery (…) I think they will be well physically, mentally and spiritually because they are good, they are noble. Unfortunately sometimes they take the wrong path, they follow steps that they already lived and I lived ”, he revealed Julio César Chávez in a statement collected by Ventaneando .

In this sense, Chávez highlighted his intentions of wanting his children to overcome addictions, at the same time in whoever thought that is never too late to try to remedy the “bad steps” through which their children, both boys.

I think my children are still on time and there are to give them another chance . I believe that we all deserve a second chance and even more being clean (…) there are many mistakes that they have to correct, because this life they have led does not leave them anything new ”, he said.

Finally, the “Great Mexican Champion” considers that the problem of his children’s addictions has been one of the reasons why both have had poor results in the ring .

Their careers have been unraveling fight after fight because they do not arrive well prepared , because they do not prepare thoroughly, because they have faculties, unfortunately when it comes to the fight is heavy, they did not prepare well ”, he concluded.
