A few days before the return of Univision’s most watched reality show, this next 26 September at 8/7 PM Central , Adal Ramones, back to Univision, after having gone to Azteca for a few years, confesses and tells everything.
– What a surprise, to find you here in ´Nuestra Belleza Latina´, how do you feel in this av entura?
Adal Ramones: Happy for many reasons, I return to Univision first , I have friends, there are others who have already left, who are no longer with us, and there are other new friends that I have made, but above all I am surprised with the organization like a Swiss watch out there. Everything is exact: the meeting, the meeting by zoom. Suddenly I ask something and it is already coming to the laptop, and everything is point by point. I love it when people do their exact job and it makes me feel very good.
– You are a judge of ´Our Latina Beauty´, what is it beauty for you?
Adal Ramones: being me, not a graceful person, I had to bring out other talents. At school, I’m talking about primary and secondary school, I had handsome, very handsome friends and then: how did I compete with them? … My grandmother taught me to draw since very young, and then I went to professional drawing classes and then to painting, so I am a boy who, when I got to primary school, I surprised everyone because I could draw characters, from famous cartoons, and girls and men too, my classmates were surprised by that. I even painted a mural on the blackboard.
The first years of school, the teacher said: “Does anyone want to dance? Does anyone want to sing? Does anyone want to do something? ”… And I raised my hand and said:“ I would like to do a sketch ”, and at that time the word sketch was not known by all the world… I was in the fourth year of primary school, when I wrote, directed and acted a sketch, and I chose two or three classmates . You have to imagine how the girls really looked for me, the friends so that I included them in the next sketch in another school event. You can imagine who beat the handsome, I stayed with the pretty girls at school … With talent or showing others with some talent, I could bring the looks and steal the looks of the handsome.
– Who is Stop in front of you is also difficult, because you are not going to settle for being pretty or having a little talent.
Adal Ramones: I have seen a lot of biographies of the girls, and I Something draws my attention, in the ´Another roll´ program I was doing my opening with a monologue, and it caught my attention, that many of the girls that the judges are going to have in front of us, that 26 September, they are going to do a monologue … I don’t know if they told them that I was going to be a judge, if they were given that option, I don’t understand.
– What are you going to look for from this woman 360?
Adal Ramones: It’s impressive, I don’t think there is so far, like Univision, that says: I’m going to invest so much money, so many COVID tests, so The production, so many hotels, room services, so much catering, so many plane tickets, I am going to do this to have a fresh face … For me it is a very big responsibility, apart from being on a par with 3 personalities such as Daniella Álvarez, Giselle Blondet, is Jomari Goyso, who know it, and are good in each field they belong to.
I’m going to fix, not on the green eyes, on the statuesque girl , who can help you that, but it will be useless if that great exterior does not have an interior superlative, if that girl does not have a great talent to polish… I think there are graceful girls, just as I saw my handsome friends, I know, you measure yourself, you see, dog does not eat dog, then you see and say: “That boy takes two heads out of me, he’s corpulent, I have no way to compete with him in that, in that part, but here (points his head) there is something else ”… I am going to look at the perfect combination, a talented girl, with a radiant smile , I said smile, no figure, nobody is perfect, nor perfect teeth, with an honest, radiant, fresh smile that communicates from there.
– How is it for you right now, to go home? Because you ran away for a while and came back …
Adal Ramones: Good ask Ronaldo, ask Messi, they come and go … I had to go out for a while, but look at the bull, he is back at the bar again . I’m very happy that I had that call, now that Televisa and Univision are merging, to come to Miami, bring my wife, my children, I say for a little while, it’s two or three months, but they are going to come and see me. I return to see old friends, to be in these facilities that gave me success in the United States, with ´Otro Rollo ‘. Now that I return I hope to be at the level of my colleagues , at the height of the production, and really meet the expectations of a great company as it is Univision , who believed in me to fill the seat of a judge, such an important position in this reality show.
– What do you say to those girls who have this illusion of being the chosen one, that they are going to face you and without Instagram filters?
Adal Ramones: When reality shows began, we had never seen people fight over who made breakfast, or who ate that piece of foot … The reality shows became so attractive because they showed us closer to the real thing in a confinement, in a laboratory … The girl I won, people will meet her, before she takes the microphone on a television program, she will reach the public because the most likely thing is that she will cry or take out your demons , and the public on the other side of television is going to want to conquer those demons, because we want it as a public that is to say: that you were in an orphanage or that you were betrayed, teach me that you can ”… Each girl is an inspirational engine, they are going to see life stories.
The only message I would give you, and that I am going to give you in the judge’s chair, would be: “ We are going to try to be more ourselves ” , because there will be girls who have already had experience in beauty programs, in contests and they come with all those vices of the full time pose.
