Puerto Rican bets on the business of natural juices

To William Cordero, the theft of his juice box at the beginning of the pandemic, in April 2020, it did not make him lose faith; and a year and three months later, at the end of August, he reopened his small business for the sale of natural juices, in a much larger and larger mobile unit.

“It’s called The Juice Market ; and we are open from Thursday to Monday on Montana and Ocean avenues in Santa Monica “, said this Puerto Rican, who has lived in Los Angeles for 7 years.

Unlike its previous juice business, in The Juice Market says they have redesigned the menu with 4 types of organic juices.

“We have another system for extracting the juice. We offer fruit juices such as pineapple, green apple, lemon combined with vegetables such as beets, carrots, pickles, ginger and mint ”.

Before dedicating himself to the sale of natural juices, William earned the life as a restaurant manager, but just when he dared to launch his own business, a month and a half later, the covid pandemic broke out – 19.

“First we were closed and then they stole my lunch box”.

“We have only a few weeks to open. That creates uncertainty; but at the same time, I am very optimistic to be successful. ”

William Cordero’s natural juice business has found acceptance in Santa Monica.

He specified that Monday, Thursday and Friday it opens at 11 in the morning, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 in the morning.

“We close until evening falls and the sun goes down, about 7 in the afternoon.”

Her dream, in addition to making her juice business prosper, is to participate in private events where she can sell her juices.
