The explosion in a suspected marijuana laboratory destroyed a house and left a person injured this Monday morning in the city of Merced , in central California.
Shortly before 8: 30 am, emergency teams came to 1311 from Derby in response to a call to 911.
Residents They offered help to a person who suffered burns until paramedics arrived . The injured man was taken to a local hospital to receive medical attention for his injuries.
No details were given if the victim was inside the address where the explosion occurred.
The firefighters fought the flames and had difficulty entering the home due to the collapse of the walls and debris.
The force of the explosion sent the garage door flying out onto the street .
“I just took out my phone and recorded the fire. Then it started to explode more and I backed off ”, declared a witness to the ABC network 30 .
Due to the explosion, the residence where the alleged The laboratory was completely destroyed , while five other houses were damaged.
When the flames were put out, officers found visible signs of what appeared to be a marijuana oil conversion lab , with several propane tanks, strainers and grass debris in the rubble area, reported the police .
