Bars and clubs in Los Angeles will ask for vaccination tests to enter indoor spaces

Authorities Los Angeles County Health Department will issue a mandate to require vaccination certificates for all customers and workers in interior spaces of bars, breweries, nightclubs and lounges.

The director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Dr. Bárbara Ferrer, mentioned this Wednesday that the employees and people who want to enter and remain inside this type of business must have at least one dose of the COVID vaccine – 19 before 7 October and receive the second before November 4.

For restaurants, the next mandate of the health authorities will strongly recommend, but will not require, verification of being vaccinated to people and employees who e remain indoors.

“This modified order from the health official aligns with the continued need to reduce the risk of transmission and increase the vaccination coverage, ”Ferrer told the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

The ordinance will establish that all attendees, workers and participants of large outdoor events that have a congregation of 10, 000 or more people must show vaccination certificates or a negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to the start of the event.
