A Mexican mother was reunited with her daughter last Friday after the minor was kidnapped 14 years in her home in Florida thanks to a message that the young woman sent from Mexico to via social media.
Clermont Police this week celebrated the closure of a case that began in September 2007 with the kidnapping of Jacqueline Hernández , who by then was a 6-year-old girl who lived with her mother, Angélica Vences-Salgado, in this city in central Florida.
The victim’s father, Pablo Henry Hernández , has a “current” arrest warrant as a suspect in the kidnapping of the minor, detailed this Tuesday to Efe Sergeant Erin Razo, Clermont Police.
According to an alert from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement of 2007, the “alleged” kidnapper is her father, who would have taken her to Mexico .
The Clermont Police explained that at the beginning of September the Mexican called them to tell them that A woman who claimed to be his daughter had contacted her through social networks to meet at the border with Mexico.
The woman told him she was in Mexico and requested that he meet her at a U.S. entry point in Laredo Texas, on 10 last September, detailed the Clermont Police.
Federal, state and local authorities coordinated a plan to “intercept” the alleged victim and determine his identity.
