Plane crashed into power lines and fell near Palo Alto Airport

A plane crashed this Monday in the 1925 from Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto, California after colliding with high-voltage power lines. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) indicated that one person was rescued from the accident . The event occurred at approximately 2: 00 pm.

Local authorities reported that a hazardous materials management team was called to the scene due to the air vehicle spilling fuel when it hit the ground.

Apparently, the aircraft was supposed to land at Palo Alto Airport when it crashed into several power lines nearby, which caused a wing to break and later fall into a local swamp.

Apparently, the plane was carrying approximately 628 liters of jet fuel.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration told KPIX that preliminary information indicates that the accident involved a twin-engine Beechcraft Baron .
