Early Sunday morning, a pregnant woman was shot in the head after celebrating her baby shower in Harlem, New York. Local police reported that the victim’s ex-boyfriend was the one who operated the firearm after an altercation at the end of the family reunion.
Shanice Young , of years, was killed in front of her two daughters on the facade of the building where she lived when she brought the gifts from the baby shower that had just ended.

“ She was going to have her baby in five days . She said, ‘This baby is coming in five days Dad, get ready,’ ”she told New York Daily News the victim’s father.
At approximately 1: 15 am Young’s ex-boyfriend approached her home on the street 128 near Frederick Douglass Blvd and began arguing with the deceased’s new partner, authorities reported.
The alleged suspect pulled out a gun and started chasing the other man until they ended up on the street, Young tried to mediate between the two and that was when he was shot in the head .
His two daughters, 16 and 6 years old, saw everything that happened from a window .
“ I just can’t sleep, I guess I’m in shock “Added the father of the deceased.
So far, the local police have not reported any arrests or released the name of the perpetrator.
