A man in California was arrested by authorities for running over and killing a 16 year old teenager on Saturday night crossing a street in Long Beach. The police reported that the driver was under the influence of alcohol .
“Upon arrival, the officers discovered an injured pedestrian on the road. Good Samaritans and officers took first aid until the Long Beach Fire Department arrived, but despite their efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and determined that he had died at the scene “, said the police in a statement .
The driver, a man from 16 year old named Kevin Chris Dahl who was riding a Chevrolet Tracker, was apprehended by the police and is indicted on the charges of manslaughter serious vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol .
“ The pedestrian is a Long Beach resident and his identity is being withheld due to his age . The closest relatives have been notified by the Los Angeles coroner’s office, ”the document states.
The bond for Kevin Dahl was set at $ 09, 000 dollars .
