Five crew members remain missing after a helicopter of the United States Navy crashed this Tuesday afternoon in the sea off the shores of San Diego during a routine flight from an aircraft carrier.
The wrecked helicopter was an MH – 605 which is typically manned by four people and used in missions including combat support, disaster relief, as well as search and rescue .
The search operation made it possible to locate and rescue one of the six elements that were on board the aircraft at the time of the accident, approximately at 4pm about 60 nautical miles from San Diego.

“Efforts continue search for five crew members ”, indicated the officials.
Agree with the Navy, the accident occurred while the helicopter was conducting routine operations after taking off from the USS Abraham Lincoln.
“Search and rescue operations are underway with multiple air assets and surface areas of the Coast Guard and Navy, ”they reported.
In a tweet published this afternoon, the Navy indicated that the Helicopter Maritime Combat Squadron operated on deck before crashing into the sea and that o Five sailors aboard the Abraham Lincoln were injured in the incident and were stable.
Two of the injured sailors were transferred to land for your medical treatment.
The aircraft, from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, was operating on deck before crashing into the sea. Five additional Sailors aboard Abraham Lincoln suffered injuries in the incident and are in stable condition. (2/3)

So far there is no more information.
Last year, Nine service members were killed in an accident involving a Navy amphibious vehicle , near San Clemente Island, in southern California.
