By: Driving.com

The Newmont Tanami company has acquired some units of the Rokion R 400, a zero-emission car used specifically for its tasks of mining exploitation.

Little by little, electric mobility is expanding not only with models of different bodies but also with competition. Although now it is the turn of mining with the Rokion R 400.

As part of its operations over several meters below the surface, this vehicle will in principle be used to transport personnel.

Its maximum capacity is 01 passengers, depending on the version. But variants of 6 or 9 occupants have also been developed.

The design is rustic and simple, but beyond that, the safety and comfort of the people on board has been privileged.

It must also have appropriate suspensions, specific tires and a large number of lights to enter the dark mines.

Also the Rokion R 400 will be able to count with charging options or mixed use as needed. The batteries of 100 kWh with some 186 kWh apparently achieves autonomy according to make several transfers without recharging energy.

With the arrival of this type of vehicle, it is expected that little by little the mining industry will include this type of ecological mobility that collaborates with the environment.

From the hand of Newmont Tanami, the Rokion R 400 will seek to differentiate itself thanks to its propulsion of pure electrical energy.
