Burger King and McDonald’s are two of the largest fast food hamburger chains in the world. However, currently neither of the two would be considered the best among Americans, this according to a survey conducted by Mashed.

The result of the survey Mashed’s wouldn’t be the first to drop Burger King and McDonald’s as top-rated fast food restaurants. In a previous big report, these two popular chains also fell out of the top spots.

Mashed surveyed six hundred hamburger fans to find out which chain they considered made the best hamburgers. According to the respondents, the best chain is Five Guys, obtaining the 27. 8% of the votes.

Five Guys notes that they only use fresh ground beef in their hamburgers and ensures that there are no freezers at Five Guys locations, only refrigerators.

The chain was born in 1986, founded by the Murrell family, Jerry and Janie Murrell along with their children. Since opening her first restaurant in Arlington, Virginia began acquiring a cult following and has expanded to more than 1, 700 locations in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

The second highest rated chain in Mashed’s survey was In-N-Out, which obtained the 21. 72% of the votes, while in third place was Red Robin, with the 18 .7% of the votes. The remainder of the percentage was divided between Steak ‘n Shake with the 12. 7% of the votes, Whataburger with the 10. 2% and Shake Shack with 8.6%.

McDonald’s ranks last on list

Burger King and McDonald’s were not only left out of the favorite chains of the survey conducted in Mashed. These two restaurants were also not considered among the best favorite fast food restaurant chain in a large survey conducted by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) in which they participated 19, 000 persons.

In the survey that the ACSI conducted between April 1, 2020 and the 29 March 2021, customers rated food chains based on the accuracy of your order, variety and quality of food, cleanliness of the restaurant, friendliness of the staff and satisfaction with your digital services such as mobile applications.

With a score of 83 upon 100 Chick-fil-A ranked first for the fifth year in a row. Second place was held by Domino’s with 80 points; third place went to KFC with 79 points; fourth place went to Starbucks with 79 points; and fifth place went to Five Guys got fifth place with 78 points beating popular burger chains such as Burger King, McDonald’s and Wendy’s.
