Florida is at its worst with the pandemic: 901 deaths from Covid-19 since the end of July

Florida reported this Thursday 21, 183 new cases of covid – 19 and 901 cumulative deaths since the past 25 in July as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as the state continues to lead in the number of hospitalizations across the United States.

All but two of the recently reported deaths occurred after 25 July, and around 78% of those people died in the last two weeks, as calculated by the Miami Herald with data published by the CDC. Most deaths occurred during the last surge in COVID cases – 19 in Florida, driven by the delta variant.

Representatives from Broward Health hospitals and Memorial Health System, Broward County (southeast), warned that they have reached and exceeded the peak of hospitalizations, while emphasized the need for people to get vaccinated.
