Los Angeles police caught on video beating robbery suspect handcuffed to ambulance stretcher

An element of the Los Angeles Police Department was suspended from their functions after being caught on video beating a robbery suspect who was handcuffed on an ambulance stretcher , reported the authorities.

According to information from the LAPD, the incident occurred last Saturday afternoon due to the theft of a car in the San Fernando Valley Mission area and that ended in the city of San Fernando with the arrest of two suspects.

After the arrest, one of the officers apparently struck one of the suspects , which was recorded in a video captured by a community member.

Assault by Los Angeles Police Officer allegedly occurred after the suspect was provoking him for several minutes .

Some versions indicated that the suspect spat at the security element .

“The images in the video are deeply disturbing and although we must wait for the investigation to be completed, the Department will act quickly in any case involving excessive or unnecessary force,” said Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore, in a statement .

While the investigation is taking place, the police force will remain at their home and their Powers as a law enforcement officer will be suspended pending the results.
