General Motors has serious intentions of having two zero-emission utility vehicles for the movement of goods.

Within the framework of the disclosure of results for the first semester of the year , General Motors has agreed that it will produce two electric vans in the near future.

It is worth mentioning that earlier this year GM had announced the creation of the BrightDrop division. This section will be responsible for the development and production of this type of vehicle.

In this way the electric van project EV

was discovered aimed at the movement of goods in which FedEx is also part.

In itself, the EV 600 has the same platform Hummer EV’s Ultium Drive. Other components of it would be from the game where an autonomy of 400 kilometers is also promised.

On the other hand, GM will turn to the manufacture of a medium-distance truck with hydrogen fuel cell technology. The remaining model would be left for a smaller utility vehicle with electric charge.

With these commercial vehicle production intentions, General Motors broadens its spectrum and does not focus only on private cars.

An alliance with similar characteristics between this firm and FedEX, have narrowed Amazon and Rivian. In each case, these manufacturers will be in charge of producing and developing these utilities for delivery companies.

In a growing market for this type of products, General Motors has serious intentions of becoming a benchmark.
