Phil Spector , music producer who was charged with murder in 2009, died on Saturday night 16 from January to the 81 years, due to complications of COVID – 19, a disease he contracted in a California prison four weeks ago.

From the decade of the 60 Spector began to be recognized worldwide as a producer, inventing a technique called “the wall of sound” and working on classic albums by dozens of artists, including Tina Turner , The Beatles and Leonard Cohen . However, in 2003 he murdered the actress Lana Clarkson , being finally sentenced in 2009.

Spector’s life was full of extravagances; It is said that for a long time his baldness made him complex – he even lived with the lights in his room turned off so that visitors would not notice his alopecia – and then used many wigs. His mistreatment was exposed by various women, such as the singers Darlene Love and Ronnie Spector , the latter leader of the group The Ronettes , who was married to Phil for four years, accusing him of keeping her prisoner, to finally escape from his home with the help of his mother.
