During the first hours of this Friday 30 July it was announced that the Mexican comedian Sammy Pérez, lost his life at 55 years of a cardiovascular infarction after being intubated due to COVID – 19 , so one of the first to express their condolences was Eugenio Derbez.
Sammuel Pérez Reyes, better known as Sammy Pérez, won the affection and recognition of the public thanks to his charismatic personality and way of expressing himself before cameras, especially in various television programs with Eugenio Derbez.
After the news of his death was announced, it was also the comedian who shared an emotional message through his social networks, where, next to an image from the movie ‘No refunds are accepted’, he said goodbye to someone he considered a great friend.
“ He taught us that you can always be happy no matter what; that you can sing and dance for no reason; he taught us with his life, the best example of inclusion. Sammy Pérez was no different. Sammy Pérez was one of us. Rest in peace “, wrote the producer.

Pérez made his debut in the program ‘El Calabozo’ with Jorge “El Burro” Van Rankin and Esteban Arce in the year 1997 . Some time later, he approached Derbez, who sponsored him and promoted his career on television in broadcasts such as ‘La Familia P. Luche’, ‘Derbez in when’ and ‘XHDBZ’, in the latter conducting interviews with his inseparable friend Miguel Luis.
