Hispanic mother gave a baby shower to her 12-year-old daughter who was pregnant with a 24-year-old man
OKLAHOMA – A mother from an Oklahoma town near the Texas border was arrested for allowing the abuse daughter of 12 years , who gave birth to a girl to a man of 24 years, according to reported the authorities.
The investigation of the case began after the minor went to a Tulsa hospital with the baby’s father to be treated .
The minor was about to give birth to a girl and after the baby was born the hospital called the Police.
The Tulsa Police Department questioned the minor and the father. Officials determined that the family was aware of the relationship.
The baby’s father was identified as Juan Miranda-Jara, from 24 years, and he was arrested the day he arrived at the hospital with the minor. Jara was charged with sexual abuse of a minor, it should be noted that the age of consent in Oklahoma is 16 years.
Officers then went to look for the mother of the minor and after an interview they determined that the woman and the rest of the the family allowed the relationship.
The mother of the child was identified as Desiree Castañeda. Castañeda was charged with negligence and for allowing the sexual abuse of a minor.
During the investigation, photos of a “baby shower” were found. ”That the family organized for the minor when she was pregnant, according to the Police. In the photos the father and other family members appeared.
The girl was born on 14 July, according to the authorities.
The baby was born without complications and is healthy, according to the Police.
The lesser of 12 years and your baby are in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.
