The face mask is once again mandatory for everyone indoors in Las Vegas as of this Friday due to the rise in new cases of COVID – 19 and the low vaccination rate in Clark County.

For being a tourist center with such an intense flow of visitors, the coronavirus can be transmitted especially easily in Las Vegas . The announcement of the emergency order in most of the state seeks to curb the trend of recent weeks and is in line with the recommendations at the federal level .

A couple of weeks ago, southern Nevada authorities had recommended that even the vaccinated people used the mask in closed spaces in Las Vegas . This after a mandate went into effect in Los Angeles.

Nevada has been designated by the federal government as one of the areas of concern for high transmission rate of the coronavirus . On Tuesday 1, 179 cases and 20 deaths. 90% of the state’s cases are in Clark County.

In Nevada, only 44. 1% of the population is fully vaccinated, compared to 52. 5% of California or 56. 8% from New York. In Clark County, the vaccination rate does not reach the 40% .

The new regulation released on Tuesday includes a recommendation for all teachers, employees, and students in K schools – wear the mask.
