Social networks exploded on Tuesday afternoon after a video went viral showing how a coach shakes and hits a judo athlete in the face in the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
Some users classified the action as a sample of unjustified abuse, while others assured that it was a technique to give the athlete adrenaline before the competition.
“Don’t worry. It is the ritual I chose for before the fighting. My coach only did what I asked him to do to encourage me. Please do not insult him! “.

The protagonists of the video are the coach Claudiu Pusa and the German judoka Martyna Trajdos. The event was recorded just before getting on the mat to face Szofi Ozbas from Hungary .
In the video it is clearly seen how at the moment the athlete got ready to compete, He puts the grip on her clothes, shakes her several times and then slaps her twice .
Martyna Trajdos on her instagram:
“Don’t worry. It’s the ritual I CHOOSE before the matches. My coach He is only doing what I ASKED him to do to cheer me up ”

Finally the athlete clarified on her social networks that everything was planned: “ Don’t worry. It is the ritual that I chose before the matches. My coach is only doing what I asked him to do to cheer me up ”.
After the event the judoka nods her head, fixes her uniform and goes up to the tatami as if nothing had happened.
Apparently the aggression did not help much, because the Hungarian ended up winning the fight and Martyna could not qualify for the round of 16 .
