The Embassy of Cuba in Paris was the victim of an attack with three Molotov cocktails, which caused a fire on the facade, and for which the Cuban Government has blamed the US administration for its “campaigns against” the island.
“Terrorist acts like this are incited by the campaigns of the United States Government against our country, instigating actions and resorting to violence,” the Cuban Embassy in France said in a statement.
The attack took place on the night of 26 to the 27 in July, shortly before midnight (local time).
Foreign Ministry sources indicated that two of the cocktails reached the outside of the embassy and one entered, which caused a fire put out by mission officials. The firefighters and the police later went to the scene.
The diplomatic personnel of the Embassy were not injured although material damage was found, according to the sources.
“ We denounce terrorist attack with Molotov cocktails against our Embassy in Paris. I hold the US Government responsible for its continuous campaigns against our country “, the Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez.
