Univision has had great success with Turkish soap operas and “ Daughter of the Ambassador ”is no exception. The series starring Engin Akyürek (Sancar) and Neslihan Atagül (Nare) is not a traditional love story and that is what has made it interesting to watch.
This story begins when Nare suffers abuse and defends himself by shooting his attacker leaving him for dead. Nare’s intention is to flee with his daughter Melek in search of the girl’s father. Nare intends to commit suicide but wanted to leave his daughter in good hands before doing so.
At this point, Sancar does not know that he had a daughter with Nare and she reappears on the day he is marrying another woman.
From that point on, Sancar has been in charge of making Nare’s life miserable. He does not believe the supposed love of his life that the girl is his daughter and throws them out with everything and suitcases, showing that he is a soulless being.
It is here where the public realizes that Sancar is not the common heartthrob, with good feelings and heroic actions . Sancar is like the villain Joker, the Batman antagonist who recently had his own movie as a “villagonista.”
In Mexican soap operas this is He has also seen, where the protagonists tend to be people who are not role models like “Teresa”, “Rubí” and “El Señor de los Cielos”. Seeing Sancar as a villainous protagonist, one begins to understand that he too is a wounded being.

Sancar didn’t hesitate to harm Nare, just for a win. Also, let’s take into account that Sancar is married to a woman who has hurt his daughter Melek. Selfishly, Sancar only thought about beating Nare and not about the emotional well-being of his daughter who would now have to live under the same roof as her evil stepmother.
The good thing is that “The Ambassador’s Daughter” does not end and Sancar still has time to redeem himself and heal all that past that affects him emotionally. “The Ambassador’s Daughter” airs from Monday to Friday at 10 pm / 9c by Univision.
