At least 65 people fell ill Saturday afternoon at a Houston, Texas-area water park after a “chemical incident” , authorities reported.

“In the area around the children’s pool at this water park, a lifeguard was sick, and soon after more and more people started get sick, ”Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said at a news conference outside of Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in Spring, Texas.

At least 26 people were treated in hospitals, including a 3-year-old boy who was “in serious condition”, which led to the closure of the park until further notice .

The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office tweeted that it was investigating the source of the leak, while monitoring the air quality in the water park.

The Fire Department chief said that there was a chemical combination of between 30 Y 35% sulfuric acid and 07 – 13% bleach .

“That’s all we have right now,” said Officer Scott Seifert.
