Morat released his new album titled Where are we going?. The Colombian band is back on the music scene with this new record material that has collaborations that have excited its thousands of followers.
Through their social networks, the group announced this Friday that their new album is now available, which has songs with Danna Paola, Sebastián Yatra and Andrés Cepeda. This is his third studio album material , which comes three years after the previous one.
In an interview given to EFE , the band talked about this new project, which they described as “more mature” , they also reflected on the path they have traveled as a band. “It’s a bit the idea of musical exploration of the group,” said Juan Pablo Villamil, bassist. “Where do we come from, what do we bring from that place and what is the idea when traveling this way.”
The album was prepared during the pandemic, which allowed them to work much more on the songs.
From this material comes the single next to the Mexican Danna Paola, the which is titled “Idiot” and is already a success on digital platforms. There is also the premiere of the week, the song “Simply pass”, with the artist Cami and whose video on YouTube already exceeds one million reproductions.
Morat started in December 2011, however it was until year 2015 that became known with the theme “My new vice”, which they sang alongside Paulina Rubio and achieved Digital Platinum Disc and number 1 in digital sales in Spain. In November of that same year they released the song “How dare you” which was also an imminent number one.
In 2016 released their first album and in 2018 the second, Stray bullets , this one got to be number one in Mexico.
They have been nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist and Best Pop Album in 2016 Y 2019 respectively, however they have not got the statuette. Now, with his new album, Where are we going? , Morat plans to break his own records and please to his fans with his music.
