United States left no room for doubt in his second presentation at the Gold Cup 2021 . It went from 1-0 to Haiti to 1-6 to Martinique . A scandal that reflected the poor defense of the islanders, but also the concentration of the selection of the stars and stripes, which fell one goal away from finishing the day as leaders of group B.

Dike achieved his double with the help of the Martinique defense, at times unable to clear a ball correctly.

Even the United States had goals to add to the scoreboard. Gyasi Zardes, one of the most experienced players from the team presented by the host for the tournament, came in on the change to get a little hand out of Martinique.
He defined with a crossed right hand after receiving a long pass that could not be intercepted by the rival defense.

Despite the win, the United States will not sleep as the leader of the group B. Their goal difference (7 GF, 1 GA, +6) is the same as Canada’s (8 GF, 2 GA, +6), but as the Canadians have scored more goals, the draw favors them.
The United States will have to beat Canada on the last date to finish the group stage as one of the leaders of the Gold Cup 2021. With any other result, Canada will take first place.
The only sure thing is the qualification to the quarterfinals, which they secured without any problem. The panorama begins to point to direct rivals and potential crossings for the United States, such as Mexico and Costa Rica.
