Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, said Wednesday that the company will invest $ 1, 000 million dollars in programs that will be directed to the content creators of the social network during the 2022 .

The announcement was put in a Facebook post by Zuckerberg as a strategy by the company to attract and retain more creators as it battles for preference over rival platforms such as YouTube and TikTok.

The company has said that it plans to launch dedicated spaces within its Instagram application this summer and the Facebook application starting in the fall, where the creators will be able to know the bonuses for which they can work.

In recent months, Facebook has launched new initiatives to pay money to creators, a strategy to attract the most influential users of social networks to their services.

Social media platforms, including Facebook, provide content creators with different ways to earn income from their followers, that allows platforms to obtain profits through the sale of advertising.

In April the personal data of more than 530 million users Facebook were leaked and exposed on the Internet so cybersecurity experts warned that they could be used by hackers to commit fraud.
