More than 70 deaths in the history of the Dakar Rally: motorcycle rider Pierre Cherpin died after a fall

French motorcycle racer Pierre Cherpin, from 52 years passed away when he was transferred in a medical plane from Jeddah to Lille, France according to the organization of the Dakar Rally.
