Surprise bear walking with their young on California beaches

Last Sunday, several people who were enjoying Pope Beach, in South Lake Tahoe were very surprised, and at the same time tremendous scare, after a large black bear was walking by this place, along with 3 of her cubs.

A tourist named Jen Watkins captured with her cell phone the moment when the cubs were swimming and playing in the sea before the astonished gaze of the bathers; seconds later the mother approached them.

Watkins told a local media that the bear was calm but her attitude changed when a Golden Retriever dog approached her little ones, behaving a little more protective .

Also, the bear was so cunning that she stole the ice chest from some tourists, taking her into the forest.

Faced with the new sighting of the bears, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office urged residents not to approach if they observe one of these animals nearby while visiting the South Lake Tahoe region.

Authorities commented that while some bears appear friendly, they should not be fed or provoked as they may try to defend their territory.

In addition, the Sheriff’s Office announced that it would increase the presence of agents from the Department of Fish and Wildlife in South Lake Tahoe to monitor ear these animals.
